"Luckily, this is when the blizzard
really strengthened. Stopping was not
good for our situation. First of all, it was
snowing IN the car through the sunroof.
We grabbed a blanket in the car and
covered the roof the best we could.
The skis were in the way making this
more difficult. A ski rack might have
helped this situation. Next, the car was
getting blanketed in snow and an
attendant would have to knock on my
window to tell me where to park, as now
I couldn't see out any of the windows.
Then, the cold set in. I mean cold. We
had already put our ski clothes on
during the drive up, goggles and all. A
heater in the car might have helped
this situation. Wait a minute, doesn't
alcohol warm you insides up? That
Southern Comfort just might have
saved our lives. Sure didn't last long,
though."

Happened'

"I used to want to get in the game
instead of taking a knee on the
sidelines, however, that's where I
usually was."

"Do you know when your car runs
better after you wash it? I felt like your
car."

- from Radiator in 'It's Just What
Happened'
     The book is fifteen short
stories with one story
connecting them all. I grew up in
Las Vegas, Nevada so my
upbringing was a little off,
yet...would never change that. A
few years ago, I had a car crash
and was on life support for two
and a half days. During
rehabilitation, heck...I was
bored. Also, had some stories
that not all knew. I better write
them down. I could die tomorrow.

Two years later, I was in
southeast Florida when
someone asked what I do with
my time. I hadn't too many
friends there. I told him I write
these funny little party stories.
He wanted to know what I was
going to do with them. I told him
nothing but if I happen to die
tomorrow I'll at least leave these
behind. He said I should put
them in a book. I said it's not a
book. They're just short stories.
Then, I told him my inspiration
was my accident. That story I
had not wrote. He said there
you go. Well, I have now.

The accident story is the one
that connects them all. I never
set out to write a book. It's just
what happened.
